Introduction

Welcome to the MWD, your one stop source for all your RPA&C needs. Here, you will find what planets have currently been made, which threads belong to them in addition to links to these threads, the rules for RPA&C as well as navigation assistance, and other such useful information to help you better enjoy your time here. Please read through this thoroughly, before you begin your adventures in the multiverse.

RPA&C Navigation

Upon entering this section, you no doubt took notice of the many threads which seem to have different labels. Each thread is given a label, so as to determine what kind it is. These thread types are:

[PUBLIC]: These threads comprise the Multiverse itself, each new PUBLIC Thread being a new location which is added to RPA&C for players to roam around. These threads have no central storyline of their own, nor do they have a GM. Players have the freedom to do whatever they want in these locations, even cause destruction, exactly the same as in real life. However, also just as real life, your actions have great effects on things. For example, if you rob a bank, you can be assured that cops will be chasing after you. It is YOUR job to include that said police are chasing after you, though, as these threads don't have GMs and as such, you are the one who controls the NPCs for that location.

All PUBLIC Threads are essentially linked together, they are not "individual RPs". Instead, they combine together to form RPA&C's "Clan RP", an ever evolving entity which expands everytime you or someone else creates a new PUBLIC Thread. Anyone is allowed to participate in them, even players who are not affiliated with any clans.

You can NOT have the same character in more than one PUBLIC Thread at a time, so in order to have your character go to another thread, you must first state that he or she leaves the previous location. Afterwards, you will be free to use them in another PUBLIC Thread, another location. This is basically just common sense. In addition, ALL PUBLIC Threads use the SAME set of rules, which are...

1. "No God Moding" - This rule prevents players from taking control of the characters of others, or doing things which are logically impossible, such as breaking “RP Reality”. Unless you can explain how you were able to do something, it would be considered God Moding, as only God himself would be capable of such impossible feats. In other words, this rule prevents any kind of “cheating” within the RP.

2. "No Power Gaming" - This rule prevents players from using “God Types”, characters which are either literally omnipotent deities, or those who are capable of destroying whole continents/planets/dimensions. Characters which can also not be killed are also considered to be the same. In short, this rule prevents people from being “cheap” within the RP.

3. "No Meta Gaming" - This rule prevents players from using “OOC Knowledge” within the RP. If someone reads over another’s character profile, and then uses their weaknesses mentioned in it during a fight, this is considered an act of Meta Gaming, unless this person can justify their character being capable of knowing said weakness. The same applies to the clans. If someone reads that another clan is plotting to attack them, and then go and prepare their defenses for said attack, such as calling back all of their forces to repel this other clan. Then that is also an act of Meta Gaming, as their characters would have no knowledge of said impending assault, unless they were to obtain this knowledge ICly.

[CUSTOM]: These are "Private RPs" which are started by players either for just themselves, their friends, or their clans. Unlike PUBLIC Threads, a CUSTOM Thread does have a central storyline, as well as a GM (The person who made the thread, usually). These threads can use whatever rules the owner wishes, though if there are none listed, then it is just generally assumed that the three listed above are being used. The owners of these threads can also dictate who is and who isn't allowed to post in these threads, and they are NOT considered apart of the multiverse. As such, the events in PUBLIC Threads and CUSTOM Threads are kept entirely separated, meaning that if your character dies in a CUSTOM Thread, that doesn't mean that they are dead in any of the other threads that you are using them in, and vice versa for PUBLIC Threads.

Also, unlike PUBLIC and BASE Threads, CUSTOM Threads adhere to an activity policy. If a CUSTOM Thread goes for one week without any new posts, the owner of the thread will recieve a warning. If another week goes by and still no new posts, the thread will be locked and sent to the RPA&C Archive. If, at some point, the owner of the thread wishes to continue it, they simply request that it be re-opened and moved back to RPA&C by PMing either Vasuka or another staff member.

[BASE]: These are PUBLIC Threads which signify great importance to a specific guild, whether they be Hosted or Independent. There is nothing different about them from any other PUBLIC Thread, but they represent ownership for the clan which uses it, designating it as their "base". All important threads which are seen as very valuable to clans are listed as "BASE Threads".

Anyone is allowed to create a new thread, but ALL threads MUST be labelled as one of the above. If a thread is NOT labelled as anything, it is automatically considered a CUSTOM Thread. When you create a PUBLIC or BASE Thread that is located on a world created by someone else, PLEASE SEND THEM A PM TELLING THEM ABOUT IT AND PROVIDE A LINK TO IT FOR THEM. THAT WAY THEY CAN THEN UPDATE THEIR WORLD'S THREAD LIST TO INCLUDE YOUR THREAD.

Total # of Seasons: [Some planets have seasons, others don't. If yours does, list how many, and what they are. If different from Earth's four, try to explain what you'll expect from each, and try to list examples.]
Indigenous Races: [What all inhabits your world? People? Creatures? Aliens? Cavemen?]
Terminology: If you have terms you'd like others to know about so they keep it in the back of their minds, list them here. Example: 'Gaeans' (my world and characters, don't steal it!)- Gaean's are the inhabitants of Gaea. Each member of that society may go under other name depending on what borders they live in and such, but generally, they are all still known as Gaean. Can be humans, animals, objects, etc...]
Geographical Features: [List the number of continents your world has here, if any. For instance, a planet which is nothing but ocean wouldn't have any land masses, so you would just put "None" for this. If there ARE continents, give a few details about each one.]
Major Cities: [List the major cities on your world, if any.]

History / TimeLine: [Planets have a history. Form of timeline? Don't got one? Make it up! Creativity really counts here.
