Rules to posting in the Clan Signups forum.

1. Standard NG rules apply.
2. You may only be in two clans at any one time.
3. You may only make a signup topic in the clan signup forum, or reply to one already there.

What is a Clan and what is the purpose to them?

Joining a clan is one of the best things a newcomer can do! Clans are groups of members who form together around a common goal or interest. Being a clan member gives you something immediately to do, and gives you a group of posters who will happily befriend you and bring you into their fold. Once you are a clan member, you also get access to that clan's private forum too, where you can chat with your fellow clan-members.

How do I signup for a clan?

Simply post in that clan's signup topic and wait for you to be approved (the clan leader will either post the acceptance in the topic or send you a PM). You will then have access to that clan's private area.

Please note, you may only be in two clans at any one time.

Clans Types - Guilds & Organisations

Clans are considered as being either a guild-type clan or an organisation-type clan.

A Guild is- in general terms- a roleplaying-based clan. These clans, aside from using their subforums, post in Roleplaying Sections regularly. These clans work toward building a strong roleplaying community in this section.

An Organization is just the opposite- an non-roleplaying-based clan. The types of organisations are very varied, and usually revolve around sponsoring an area of Animeleague.

Public Clans - Chance to view the clan itself before you signup.

Some clans allow you to view (but not post in) their private forum without the need to signup. Currently the clans that allow this are (Click on the clan to be taken to their forum) (To be added).

What's the main forums at the top above the clan forums for?

Clan City has three public areas where the entire community can interact. Please make sure to read the rules of each section, which are clearly announced before posting in them -

Clan Signups - Clan signups allows you to read up on all the clans via their signup topics, and to ask for help and advice.

Clan City Community - The hub of all non-roleplaying community activity in Clan City. Want to propose an idea or suggestion to improve this section? Post it in there. Want to just get to know other members, or have a chat with fellow CCers? Again, check that area out. Please make sure to read the CC Community rules before posting in there.

Roleplaying Anime/Cartoon- The hub of all roleplaying activity in Clan City. Not just one RPG or even a single world, but an entire multiverse where the clans and members interact in character. Check it out! Again, make sure to read the RPA/C Rules before posting in there. This is different from The Accual Roleplay sections on 'Anime & Manga', also 'CartoonNetwork' Section for this is only allowed for those own character's to intreact in the same world of Fantasy and Reality.

How to Choose the Right Clan for You

Choosing a clan can be a bit daunting for a newcomer. There are quite a few choices for you and it can get confusing. There are just a few things to keep in mind when choosing a clan.

First, are you a roleplayer or do you want to be? Guilds are the major roleplaying clans, though some organizations do it as well. Be sure to look at the description and see if the clan you're looking at is or isn't a roleplaying clan and if it suits you.

The next thing is if they catch your interest with their theme. Some clans are fan clans, based off a certain anime, book, or movie. Other clans are based off principles or ideas. Make sure the clan you're looking into deals with something you enjoy.

After you've looked at the different aspects of the clan, simply decide if you want to join and post in the sign-up if so. Remember that while we encourage you to stick with a clan and form a close bond with your fellow clan members, your membership is not set in stone and if you find that the clan you joined is not for you, you can simply find another clan that suits you better.
